Top CPI leaders including S Sudhakar Reddy and D Raja will attend the three-day meeting of the party's Tamil Nadu unit to be held from June 11.

The State executive and Council meeting will take stock of the political situation in the aftermath of assembly elections in Karnataka and also the violence and firing in Tuticorin during the anti-Sterlite protests, which claimed 13 lives, party sources said.

CPI National General Secretary, Sudhakar Reddy and national secretary D Raja will be among those who will take part in the deliberations, both at the executive meeting on the first day and council meeting, the sources said.

Around 130 delegates are expected to attend the meet that will discuss the political strategy and the situation after the Tuticorin violence, they said.

It will also elect two deputy secretaries and a treasurer, the sources said.
