Days after Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the bureaucracy was not fully co-operating with his government, Chief Secretary Swadheen Kshtriya has said top officials will tour different parts of the state for two days every week.
Kshtriya met all bureaucrats earlier this week against the backdrop of Fadnavis's statement in Nagpur.
It was decided that Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries will tour different parts of the state for two days every week to oversee implementation of government's welfare policies, a statement from Chief Secretary's office said today.

Recently in his home town Nagpur, Fadnavis had said the state bureaucracy was not fully co-operating with the new government and this was posing a hurdle in implementing policies.
The government has faced stiff resistance from the bureaucracy for quite some time and action has been initiated against about 800 bureaucrats. Now, they have fallen in-line with the government, he had said.
