The AITA has selected top three boys and girls in singles to represent the country at the upcoming junior Davis Cup and junior Fed Cup competitions, to be held in Kuching, Malaysia.
For the Davis Cup, Dev V Javia, Sandeep VM and Krishna Hooda were selected while Udit Gogoi, the fourth-highest ranked player was chosen as a reserve.
The competition in the Asia/Oceania Group will begin from April 9.
Former Davis Cupper Vishal Uppal will be the coach and captain of the team.
For Fed Cup, Tanisha Kashyap, Bhakti Bharat Parwani and Prerna Vichare were the playing members and Mubashira Anjum Shaik was named as a reserve member.
Radhika Tulpule Kanitkar was named as Captain and coach of the Fed Cup team.
The Fed Cup competition in the Asia/Oceania Group will begin from April 16.
