Top-ranked Indian juniors in tennis will be seen in action in the Grade-III ONGC ITF Juniors to be held at the Dakshin Kalikata Sansad clay courts between January 20 and 25.

With a ITF ranking of 200, Garvit Batra of Delhi will be the top-ranked Indian in the draw of 32 as other four Junior Davis Cup probables -- Nikshep Ballekere (Andhra), Sahil Deshmukh (Maharashtra), Alex Solanki (Delhi) - too will vie for the honours.

It will be Thailand's Teeradon Tortrakul (134) and Taipei's Wei De Lin (182) who are likely to get the top two billings in the boys singles.

In the girls section, Hyderabad girl Pranjala Yadlapalli (143) will be the top seed ahead of Chinese Yijja Shao (149).

Pranjala is currently eyeing her second successive ITF triumph in Delhi after her maiden win in calendar year's first India ITF Junior in Chandigarh earlier this month.

Besides the 24 direct entries, there will be four wild cards and as many players will make the cut from the qualifiers that will be held in the next two days.

"Right from Leander Paes to Sania Mirza to Somdev Devvarman all have played here at one stage. The future of Indian tennis will be seen in action," he said.

The secretary of the Bengal Tennis Association further announced they would be hosting 50,000 USD ATP Challengers from February 10-15.

"The last date of submitting the entries is January 21 and after that we'll make an official announcement."
