Total Oil India, a part of the French oil & gas giant Total, today launched an automotive lubricant for the motorcycle segment and aims to capture 10 per cent market share in the next five years.
"With the increasing demand for greater mobility along with rising disposable income, there is significant growth opportunity for two-wheeler segment in this market, which recently surpassed China to become the largest two-wheeler market in the world.
"We see tremendous potential in India," Total Oil India chairman and MD Dilip Vaswani said here today.

He also said, the company is looking at growing fast and hopes to corner 10 per cent market share in the next five years in the two-wheeler lubes space in the country.
The price range of new lube--Total Hi-Perf-varies from Rs 250 to Rs 750 a litre, the company said.
"Hi-Perf, our newest range of high performing motorcycle engine oil is fully equipped to meet everyday challenges and provide a joyful riding experience by shielding the bike's engine from daily wear and tear, thereby increasing engine life, amplifying fuel efficiency and keeping the engine clean," Total Oil India's lubricants division senior vice- president for sales & marketing Karoly Repas said.
Total's lubricants division has pan-India network of over 31 depots, 297 distributors and over 40,000 dealers.
Total Oil India started its operations in 1993 and a has growing presence in a slew of businesses such as lubricants for automotive and industrial applications, LPG for domestic and commercial applications, modified bitumen products and special fluids managed through a team of over 600 employees.
