Toyota Kirloskar Motor sales down 16% at 11,215 units in Feb

Exports during the month declined by 38.77 per cent to 903 units from 1,475 units in the year-ago month.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today reported 15.53 per cent decline in vehicles sales at 11,215 units in February as against 13,277 units in the same month last year.

The company sold 10,312 units in the domestic market compared with 11,802 units in the same month last year, down 12.62 per cent, TKM said in a statement.

Exports during the month declined by 38.77 per cent to 903 units from 1,475 units in the year-ago month.

"Ban on registration of diesel vehicles in Delhi and NCR still continues to affect our sales as Delhi & NCR market constitutes 8-10 per cent of our market share which comprises of both the Innova & Fortuner," said N Raja, Director and Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor.
 

Moreover, the unrest in Haryana has further impacted the company's business in that region with dealerships being closed for more than a week, he added.
