Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited has been awarded the national award under the category 'DISCOM - Promotion/Facilitation' for roof-top solar programmes.
The award was given by Union Minister for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy Piyush Goyal during the National Workshop on Roof-Top Solar Power at Vigyan Bhawan here today.
"The cumulative roof top capacity supported and commissioned by us shows our commitment to produce green and clean energy and differentiates us from other power distribution companies. Today's national award adds another feather to our cap," said Praveer Sinha, CEO and MD, Tata Power-DDL after receiving the award.

Veerendrakumar has authored 21 books and is a winner of both Kerala and central Sahitya Akademy awards. He has been a distinctive voice in the sphere of non-fiction writing.
A former minister both at the Centre and in the state, his travelogue on Himalayas had won the central Sahitya Akademy.
