The sale of tickets for the India International Trade Fair has been capped at around 60,000 per day and these will not be sold at Pragati Maidan gates and the Pragati Maidan Metro Station, the organiser ITPO said today.

The tickets for general days -- November 18-27 -- will be available four days in advance at other metro stations in Delhi-NCR. The online sale of tickets for all days -- business as well as general -- commenced today through the portal of India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO).

"The public/visitors are advised to cooperate and plan their visit by purchasing tickets in advance from their originating metro stations and online through ITPO website so as to avoid any inconvenience," the ITPO said in a statement.

The trade fair is being held on a much smaller scale this year as construction of an Integrated Exhibition-cum- Convention Centre at Pragati Maidan is under way.

President Ram Nath Kovind will inaugurate the 14-day fair on November 14.

From over 1 lakh square metres, the area has been reduced to about 55,000 sq m this time around. Close to 3,000 exhibitors will showcase their products compared to 6,000 last year.
