Trade unions today reiterated their commitment towards timely completion of BPCL's Integrated Refinery Expansion Project (IREP) and Petrochemical venture, which together is estimated to cost about Rs 25,000 crore.
The assurance in this regard was given by the trade unions at a meeting convened by Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner.

For speedy implementation of IREP, which is imperative to ensure supply of Bharath Stage IV petrol and diesel by April 1 2016 as per the approved GoI guidelines, Central and state governments and Trade Unions had put into place a robust system of Industrial Relation Committee and had declared the Project site as 'Strike-Free-Zone'.
