Trader robbed of Rs 2.5 lakh in north-east Delhi

A 40-year-old trader was robbed of about Rs 2.5 lakh by two armed assailants in Khajoori Khas area of north east Delhi, police said today.

The incident took place around 6.30 PM yesterday when the trader, identified as Naresh Kumar Gupta was at his shop and two bike-borne unidentified youth robbed him of Rs 2.5 lakh at gunpoint, police said.

They also threatened to kill him if he resisted and after the incident the duo fled from the spot.

Police said that they were scanning footage of CCTV cameras installed in nearby area to identify the accused.

Based on complaint filed by victim, a case has been registered against unknown persons.
 

Police have launched a manhunt to nab accused and they would soon be arrested.
