The armed robbers, said to over two dozen, barged into the house of a hardware trader Dhiraj Jaiswal alias Bablu last night and shot him dead before looting goods and valuables worth Rs. 25 lakhs, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Alok Kumar said.
The police arrived at the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem, he said.
A case has been registered in this connection and raids were being carried out to nab the robbers, Kumar said.
