Farooq was rushed to the SCB medical college and hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival, the police said.

The Police have retrieved five bullet cases from the spot and have begun investigation. A senior police officer said raids were on in various parts of the city to nab the assailants, who were yet to be identified.
