The trader named Sonu was shot dead when he was returning home in a motorbike at about 8.30 pm, sources said.
The police disperses the angry locals and family members of the deceased at the campus of Patliputra Medical College Hospital (PMCH) who were holding the senior police officers responsible for the killing the trader.
The incident is considered a result of ongoing gang war of Wasepur, the police said.
