With a view to facilitate the construction of the second phase of elevated Barapullah flyover, the Delhi Traffic Police will be diverting the traffic on certain routes.

From Saturday onwards, motorists coming from AIIMS and INA and intending to go to Sarai Kale Khan will have to take Aurobindo Marg and Lodhi Road while those coming from Sarai Kale Khan and intending to go to AIIMS and INA Market will have to use fourth Avenue Road and Lodhi Road.

The Phase-II will see extension of the elevated road from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to INA Market.

As per the plan, the loop will cut away from the elevated road near the AIIMS Flyover.

The Sewa Nagar underpass and Jagannath Marg will remain closed for all kinds of vehicles for the coming two months.

"Traffic staff shall be deployed at all strategic locations for enforcing diversions and guiding the motorists. Motorists are requested to follow the diversions in the interest of smooth traffic management in the area," said Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Shukla.
