The highway was opened after removing the debris piled on the road, that had also left thousands of pilgrims stranded on both sides, official sources said.
Landslides hit the highway at Birahi area of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand on Thursday, since then it was blocked.
Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rain lashed different parts of the state that brought debris on roads causing problems to people, sources said.
