Traffic snarls expected as IITF begins in Delhi tomorrow

Brace yourself for traffic snarls in central and Lutyens' Delhi with the India International Trade Fair (IITF) starting here from tomorrow, police said in an advisory today.

Traffic congestion is expected till the concluding day of the fair, i.e November 27. Mathura Road, Bhairon Marg, Ring Road, Shershah Road and Purana Quila Road will be affected, it said.

No vehicle will be allowed to halt or park anywhere on Mathura Road and Bhairon Marg, the advisory said.

The advisory also prohibits parking of vehicles on Sher Shah Road, Purana Quila Road, Bhagwan Dass Road and Tilak Marg.

Vehicles found parked on these roads shall be towed away and their owners prosecuted with a fine of Rs 600 for improper parking and disobedience of lawful instructions, it said, adding the towed vehicles will be parked at National Stadium radial.
 

The India International Trade Fair held at Pragati Maidan in the national capital attracts lakhs of vistors every year.
