A newly-renovated traffic training park for two-wheeler riders on Baba Kharak Singh Marg was inaugurated today to cater to the specific needs of women and youth.
The training park will have instructors from Honda company, who will supervise the training of children as young as five to adults.
"At the park, Honda will promote road safety in a specially designed, protected environment. With its unique Lifetime Safety Education, Honda's skilled safety instructors will engage all age groups starting from as young as five years young to adults with a special focus on new and female riders," said Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Shukla.

To generate awareness among youth on the importance of road safety, special modules have been developed which includes innovative games and test tracks dotted with miniature road signs and signals.
"Special Primary School activity is planned for children from 5-8 years of age. Facility has been provided to learn safe driving techniques through innovative games such as 'Snakes and Ladders' and through practical riding experience like cycling on test track dotted with miniature road signs and signals," Shukla added.
People attending the training will also get to experience hundreds of dangers on road, although, virtually.
"Virtual experience increases the ability to predict and react to traffic hazards by creating awareness and knowledge about potential risks and how to deal with them in safe manner," he said.
