Train bogie derails; two hurt

Two persons were injured today when a coach of Barauni Mail Express train derailed near Gwalior station and hit a temple structure before uprooting a tree.

The incident occurred when an engine was pulling few coaches of Barauni Mail from yard for joining it with the remaining bogies of the train.

At the time of the incident, the train was empty.

In the process, a coach got derailed and first hit a tree and later entered into a Lord Hanuman temple causing severe injuries to the priest Ramniwas Sharma and a labourer Sunil Sharma, a police official of Narrow Guage police station said.
 

The injured persons were admitted to a government hospital for treatment.

The railway administration has ordered a probe into the incident.
