Train hits bike at unmanned railway crossing; 2 killed

Two persons were today killed when their two-wheeler was hit by a train while they were trying to cross an unmanned railway crossing, police said.

The Salem-Tirupathi express train knocked down the motorcycle, police said, adding the deceased were identified as Mathaiyan (21) and his friend Ramakrishnan (22).

Railway police have registered a case.
