Train hits jeep

GRP sources said the mishap took place on Patna-Gaya section of East Central Railway when the jeep tried to drive through a restricted area at Jamalpur village in Patna district and was hit by 8624 Patna-Hatia Express.

The train dragged the vehicle for some distance but there was no casualty as its driver had jumped out in time, the sources said.

The jeep was later removed from the track with the help of passengers before the train left for its onward journey, the sources added.
