A 25-year-old man was today mowed down by a train on Arthala railway tracks in Sahibabad police station area here, police said.
Avilesh, who used to reside near the tracks, was mowed down by the train around 5 am in which his legs and a hand were slashed, they said.
Upon receiving information, police reached the spot and rushed the injured man to the district hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, they said.
Investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the incident, they said.
