Train services in the Kharagpur-Tatanagar section of Southeastern Railways were disrupted tonight for around 2 hours after someone raised a false alarm of a landmine being laid on the tracks.

Railway officials said they received information around 7 PM that a landmine had been planted near Chakulia station bordering West Bengal and Jharkhand.

After thorough search, nothing was found on the tracks.

Rail services resumed after two hours leading to delay of a local passenger train and two express trains, the officials added.
