Train services in Sealdah Naihati main line section were affected on Wednesday during evening peak hours as a group of people obstructed train movements at Sodepur station, an Eastern Railway spokesperson said.
Nine pairs of EMU locals had to be cancelled and ten other trains were delayed by about one hour on an average owing to the blockade from 4.58 pm to 6.15 pm staged for a non-railway cause, he said.
Normal train services in the section resumed at 6.15 pm after the obstructions were withdrawn, the spokesman said.
