Police have arrested a trainee cabin crew member of a private airline for allegedly molesting a colleague.

The accused, Ubaid Khan, was arrested yesterday and produced before a local court today which remanded him in police custody till May 18, police said.

Khan was rounded up after the 24-year-old victim filed a complaint with the police in suburban Andheri, alleging he molested her in an office lift.

The woman, in her complaint, claimed Khan had molested her at a previous occasion too.

"On that occasion, she said she reprimanded him and warned him against his actions," a police official said.

Khan however threatened the woman and warned her of dire consequences if she lodged a police complaint, he said.

He has been booked under sections 354 (molestation), 354-A (stalking) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
