The officer, Omprakash Kain, was found hanging in his room last night, they said.
He has left behind a purported suicide note in which he has blamed two trainee officers, including a woman, for taking the extreme step, his father Balkishan told reporters.
The note alleged he had seen both of them -- his room mate Arvind Singh Thakur and the woman -- in a compromising position in his hostel. Following this, they started harassing him and also linked him with another woman in the academy, he charged.
Since Omprakash had nothing to do with the woman he was linked with, he was upset and to prove innocence he ended his life, said Balkishan who distributed copies of the suicide note to media persons.
Police confirmed the recovery of a suicide note from Kain's room and said the trainee officer's death was being investigated.
