According to officials of the Flying Club at Walton airport, pilot Fakharun Nissa was on a training flight when the aircraft developed technical problems.
"She informed the control tower about her inability to land. Officials asked her to try landing at the Falcon Jogging Track and to jump out of the aircraft as it was felt she might not be hurt if she jumped on to the track," an official of the club told PTI.
"She could not land on two attempts. However, on the third attempt, she jumped off at the jogging track. The plane crashed and she suffered minor injuries," he said.
The pilot was provided first aid by a rescue team.
There were no reports of injuries or damage to property on the ground.
In February, a two-seater trainer aircraft crashed in Model Town area of Lahore, killing the pilot and a trainee.
