A training aircraft on its way to Fursatganj aviation academy here from Ranchi had to make an emergency landing in an agriculture field after its engine developed some technical problem.
The engine of the two-seater aircraft failed at about six kms from the Indira Gandhi national aviation academy this afternoon when it was above Pure Lokai village in Deeh area, but the pilot managed to land it in the agriculture field, additional superintendent of police, Rajesh Kumar said.
The pilot, Niranjan Kumar Chaubey, and his associate Sunil Kumar are safe, the ASP added.
