Opposing the reported training of two Sri Lankan armed forces personnel at the Defence Services and Staff and College (DSSC) at Wellington in Nilgris District, MDMK chief Vaiko today announced his party cadres would lay a siege of the institution on June 25.

In a statement here, Vaiko claimed that the training of the Sri Lankan personnel had hurt the sentiments of the people of Tamil Nadu in view of the killing of "thousands of innocent Tamils" in the civil war in the island nation.

He demanded that the two Sri Lankan personel should be expelled from the DSSC campus.

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has already conveyed her government's opposition to the Centre over the training of the Lankan personnel while some pro-Eelam outfits had staged protests infront of the DSSC.
