The transfer of the murder case of Suresh Kumar, an activist of Madurai-based Hindu outfit from a court here to a special court in Poonamallee near Chennai has been challenged by a suspect's mother.
In her petition, A Beema Dowlath said her son Toufeeq Ali was arrested on August 8, 2013 in connection with the murder and the case was then handed over to CB-CID for probe.
She contended that Toufeeq was arrested as police could not nab two other key suspects "police" Fakrudeen and Bilal Malik then.
