Transfer policy for UP govt officers gets cabinet nod

Uttar Pradesh government today approved the transfer policy for its officers and employees for 2015-16 as per which officers of group 'A' and 'B' completing six years in a district and 10 years in a division will be entitled for new posting.

The cut off date for assessing the period of an official's stay at a place will be March 31 and all transfers will be completed by June 30, a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav decided.

Those who are physically challenged have been exempted from this transfer policy, an official statement said.

The cabinet also approved the proposal for granting pensionary benefits to the employees of UP Housing and Development Board.
 

A decision has been taken to provide pension benefits to those employees who joined service before March 31, 2005 or before and have not retired so far, the statement said.

The cabinet approved construction of toilet blocks in 300 Government Girls Inter Colleges for which low-cost sanitation NGO Sulabh International has been made the implementing body, it said.

Permision has been granted to the Secondary Education Department to have a tie up with Sulabh for 10-year maintainence of the toilets.

The cabinet gave permission for signing state support agreement with Government of India for developing two national highways - Meerut-Delhi Expressway and Bareilly-Sitapur National Highway - being developed by the NHAI.
