Transit remand granted to take rape accused to MP

A Bihar court today granted three-day transit remand of Firoz Khan, accused of raping a five-year-old girl of Madhya Pradesh, to police to take him to that state.

Khan was produced before Chief Judicial Magistrate R C Malviya who granted three days transit remand so that Madhya Pradesh police could take him to the state.

Accused Firoz Khan (35) was nabbed by the Bihar police last night from his maternal uncle's home at Hussainabad under Muzahidpur police station of Bhagalpur district.

Khan, working in Jhabua Power Plant Limited in Madhya Pradesh, allegedly raped the minor girl in Shivni district of Madhya Pradesh on April 17. The victim was found next day in a farm land in an unconscious state.
 

The girl is battling for life in a hospital in Nagpur.
