Union MoRTH Minister Nitin Gadkari is scheduled to visit the state during his maiden trip to North East in the first week of April, Gadi said.

He said that Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, who is the nodal minister of MoRTH of NE states, is convening a high-level meeting today in New Delhi to finalise the sanction of eight unawarded road projects to Arunachal as well as early release of Rs 54.02 cr for the ongoing 11 projects in the state during the current financial year.

The MoRTH has proposed to award the eight projects to National Highway Infrastructure Development Construction Limited, a newly constituted central PSU, the minister said.
