Iran's semi-official Fars news agency is reporting that a bomb explosion has killed three policemen and wounded an unspecified number of others in southeastern Iran.
The report by Fars says the booby trap exploded in Nikshahr, a town in southeastern Iran near the border with Pakistan.
The report did not provide further details.
The area has been the scene of occasional clashes between Iranian forces and some militants groups in the area who have claimed responsibility for several attacks in recent years.
