In a move that will help corporate and business travellers save time, Hyderabad airport will now allow passengers carrying only hand baggage to skip check-in and head straight for security clearance.
The airport has earmarked a dedicated space at the entrance of the departure terminal for the new 'Express Security Check' facility.
At this facility, domestic passengers can print their boarding pass from self-service kiosks and enter the "Express Security Check lane" and head to the boarding area without standing in a check-in queue.

"We are committed to providing security of a very high order and are very focused on passenger comfort. This new feature is in sync with this commitment and we hope that every passenger flies happy, flies safe," the statement quoted CISF Director General OP Singh as saying.
According to GMR, Hyderabad airport handles more than 18,000 domestic departure passengers on a daily basis, of which close to 40 per cent travel without any checked-in baggage, and carry at most only hand baggage.
Hyderabad airport was also the first airport to roll out end-to-end e-boarding system, eliminating the need to carry a physical boarding pass thereby enabling seamless movement within the airport.
