Director Travis Knight has been roped in to helm the spin-off of "Transformers" titled, "Bumblebee".
The project will be his live-action directorial debut after helming the Oscar-nominated stop animation film "Kubo and the Two Strings" in 2016, reported Deadline.
The studio, Paramount had also met with "Lego Batman" diector Chris McKay for the same post.
The plot details are yet to be known. The story, which has been penned by Christina Hudson, will revolve around the popular character who has appeared in all of Michael Bay's "Transformers" films.
