Tremor hits western Nepal near border with India

A 4.1-magnitude earthquake with epicentre at Darchula was recorded

A 4.1-magnitude tremor was felt early this morning in Darchula district in the far-west Nepal near the border with India.

The earthquake was recorded at 2.29 am with epicentre at Darchula, 750 km west of Kathmandu, according to the National Seismological Centre.

A total of 352 aftershocks with 4 or more magnitude were recorded after the April 25 temblor that killed nearly 9,000 people.
