Tri-Service Commanders' conference held in Vizag

The event was held yesterday on board the Landing Platform Dock, INS Jalashwa, it said.

The three commanders-in-chief reviewed the progress made on various operational and logistic issues since the last meeting and discussed upon tri-lateral interaction and coordination among the three-service organisations, it said.

General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (Eastern Command) Lieutenant General Dalbir Singh and ADC Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (Eastern Air Command) Air Marshal S Varthaman attended the conference that was chaired by Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, (Eastern Naval Command) Vice Admiral Anil Chopra.

The conference also envisaged closer interaction in the field of sports and cultural activities, besides familiarisation visits for enhancing troop-to-troop contact and to underscore the necessity of teamwork in many other disciplines, the release said.

 

The annual conference is conducted at the headquarters of all three commands in the Eastern region on rotation basis and last year, it was held at Shillong under the aegis of Eastern Air Command.
