The activists of a Kandhamal-based tribal organisation have threatened to take law into their hands if the state government fails to fulfil their 34-point charter of demands in a month.
Kui Seva Samannya Samiti (KSSS) held a noisy rally here on the occasion of its 20th foundation day and submitted its charter of demands to the collector.
"If our demands are not fulfilled within 30 days, the KSSS will take law into its hand and the state government will be held responsible for their actions," Lambodar Kanhar, the secretary of KSSS and BJP leader, told reporters.

The tribal body's demands include establishment of a medical college here, expedition of tribal atrocity cases and settlement of land claims.
The rally went around the town raising anti-government slogans and staged a demonstration in front of the Collectorate building later in the day.
Kanhar, who led the procession, alleged that the state government has miserably failed to fulfill its promises made to them.
A delegation of KSSS had earlier met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to press for their 34-point charter of demands.
"Following the meet, only four of our demands, including establishment of B.Ed, CT institutions and inquiry into fake cast certificates, were addressed," Kanhar added.
