Manager of a tribal welfare cooperative society in Jhabua district was today allegedly caught accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 by Lokayukta police.
Jhabua district's Kakanwani village-based Adim Jati Sewa Sahkari Samiti Manager Lavkesh Kumar Rathore (44) at his office was arrested taking the bribe of Rs 50,000 red-handed from Salesman Pramod Kumar Rathore, a government salesman, who had been suspended, Lokayukta Inspector Mahesh Sunaiya said.
He said Lavkesh demanded the bribe from Pramod to submit a favourable inquiry report to clear latter's way for reinstatement.
The manager has been booked under relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigations are on, the Inspector said.
