Tribal woman gang raped in Jharkhand

A widow was allegedly gang raped by four persons in Bimburu village, around 40 kms from here, under Potka police station, police said today.

The incident happened two days ago, when the woman, a tribal labourer, was returning home from work and the four accused allegedly forced her to a secluded place and raped her in turn, officer-in-charge of Potka police station J P Singh said.

An complaint was lodged on Monday and police arrested two of the accused, identified as Gama Tudu and Fagu Murmu of the same village, he said, adding that a search for other two absconding accused were initiated.
 

The victim was sent for a medical check-up, he said.
