A tribal woman was raped allegedly by a BSF man at Noyabari village in Tripura's Gomati district, police said today.
The woman was returning home after dropping her child in school on April 22 when the BSF man, Jatandra Tripura, allegedly raped her, said SP S Sambandham.
She informed her husband, an Assam Rifles jawan posted in Manipur, who returned home yesterday.
An FIR was filed subsequently, he said adding the accused was absconding.
