Tributes were paid to senior BJP leader late Gopinath Munde, on his birth anniversary, with Union Minister Subhash Bhamre asking party workers to work for ushering in 'Maharashtra of Munde's dreams'.
"Building a developed Maharashtra as dreamt by Munde will be the real tribute to him," Bhamre, Minister of State, for Defence, said at a memorial event at the state BJP office here.
"Munde was truly a mass leader. He was aware of all issues facing Maharashtra," Bhamre added.

The Minister also lauded Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for BJP's success in the first phase of Municipal Council and Municipal Panchayat Polls.
Last year, Munde's memorial developed on 18 acres of land at Parli in Beed district, was inaugurated by Fadnavis and BJP chief Amit Shah, on the occasion of the late Union Minister's birth anniversary.
A 20-feet tall statue of Gopinath Munde was unveiled on this occasion at the memorial, called 'Gopinath Gad'.
Work to develop the memorial in the premises of the Vaidyanath Cooperative Sugar Mill began after Munde's demise in a road accident in Delhi on June 3, 2014.
