Tributes paid to Sardar Patel, Indira

Maharashtra today paid rich tributes to India's first home minister Sardar Patel and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on the occasion of their birth and death anniversaries respectively.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis offered floral homage to both the departed leaders at Mantralaya, the state headquarters.

He also administered the oath of National Integration to protect the unity, sovereignity and security of the country to the government officials.

ACS (General Administration) Bhagwan Sahai and other officials also offered floral tributes to the portraits of Sardar Patel and Indira Gandhi.

Similar programmes were organised by the state Congress and NCP.
