Tributes paid to Sepoy Bhaskara Rao

Floral tributes were today paid to the mortal remains of Sepoy Bhaskara Rao Yalla, who died while on duty in Rajasthan last week.

The Armyman's body was brought here in a plane from Delhi and kept at the Naval Air Station 'INS Dega'.

Yalla, who was serving in 6 Madras Regiment, lost his life owing to "battle accident" during an operational recce at Jaisalmer district on September 13, according to a release here today.

Full state honours were given to the mortal remains of the Jawan at 'INS Dega'. A floral wreath was placed as a mark of respect to the deceased with a ceremonial guard of the Navy in attendance.
 

Yalla's funeral will be held at his native village Chintada in Srikakulam district.
