Floral tributes were today paid to martyrs at the Sapta Shakti Command here on the second day of the command's raising day ceremony.
South Western Army Commander Lt Gen Arun Kumar Sahni laid wreaths to honour the gallant warriors to mark the 11th raising day of the Command, said defence spokesperson Lt Col Manish Ojha.
The Army Commander in his message to commemorate the occasion remembered the supreme sacrifice made by the martyrs.

The Sapta Shakti Command was raised on April 15, 2005 at Jaipur as the Seventh Command of the Indian Army.
The Command, in addition to its primary role of operational preparedness has achieved exceptionally high standards in environmental protection, proliferation of medicare, education, welfare of Veterans and Veer Naries, empowerment projects and sports, Ojha added.
Lt Gen HJS Sachdev, Chief of Staff, Maj Gen Somnath Jha, GOC 61 Sub Area and other serving and retired officers were present on the occasion.
