Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot today distributed tricycles to disabled persons and announced that a sports complex will be constructed for them in the district.
The tricycles were distributed at a function at the Andhra University Grounds here.
Addressing the gathering, Gehlot said the Central Government will construct a sports complex for disabled persons in the district at a cost of Rs 50 crore.

Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said the Centre will provide all facilities to people with disability.
Later, Gehlot and Naidu visited cyclone-affected Cheapala Uppada village, which has been adopted by the latter for rehabilitation and development, and reviewed the schemes which are being implemented there.
The Ministers laid the foundation for construction of an overhead water tank in the village.
Naidu said the Centre will take up development works in five villages falling in Cheapala Uppada Panchayat at a cost of Rs 5.50 crore under public-private partnership mode.
