Trident Q2 net up over two-fold to Rs 51 cr

Trident Ltd reported an over two-fold increase in its standalone net profit to Rs 50.97 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, mainly on account of reduced expenses.

The Trident Group firm had posted a net profit of Rs 20.98 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, it said in a filing to the BSE.

However, standalone total income of the company stood at Rs 960.99 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 965.70 crore for the same period year ago.

In a separate filing to the bourses, the company said its board has declared second interim dividend of Rs 0.30 per fully paid up equity share of Rs 10 each of the company for the financial year 2015-16.
 

The Board has also allotted one crore non-convertible, cumulative redeemable unlisted preference shares of Rs 10 each, aggregating to Rs 10 crore, redeemable up to 20 years on private placement basis, it added.

Shares of Trident Ltd today closed at Rs 43.75 on BSE, down 7.11 per cent from its previous close.
