Trinamool Congress today brought a privilege motion against Anisur Rahman, CPI(M)'s deputy leader in the West Bengal Assembly, for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her cabinet colleagues.
"The disgraceful language which Rahman used against Banerjee, a woman, and her cabinet colleagues, is becoming a dangerous trend," state Parliamentary Affairs Minister Partha Chatterjee told reporters at the Assembly here.
He was referring to unsavoury language allegedly used by Rahman at a public meeting on Friday.
