Tripathi Hindi Bhavan to come up in Mumbai University

The stone laying ceremony of Dr Rammanohar Tripathi Hindi Bhavan and Dr Zakir Hussain Urdu Ghar was held at University of Mumbai.

Maharashtra Industries Minister Narayan Rane and Minorities Minister Arif Naseem Khan laid the foundation of the twin buildings on the university's Kalina campus on Monday.

The district planning and development committee has released Rs 5 crore for the Hindi Bhavan, while the minorities department is funding the Urdu Ghar, which shall also house the Maharashtra State Urdu Academy', Khan said.

Pro vice chancellor of the university Dr Naresh Chandra said the construction of the buildings will begin later this month and would be completed in two years.
 

The 22,000 square feet Hindi Bhavan shall have a 300 seat auditorium, conference room, huge library and six residential suites, apart from lecture room and office facility.
