Tripshelf raises Rs 1.6 crore in pre-series A funding round

New-Delhi headquartered online travel marketplace Tripshelf has raised fresh funding of Rs 1.6 crore from a group of investors.

The investors include GEMS Advisory (a micro VC), Alok Mittal of Indifi, MakeMyTrip and Truly Madly co-founder Sachin Bhatia, Anita Gupta of Global Equity Strategist, Singapore Angel Network and Alka Puri, IIM-C alumnus and founder of Roads Ahead Consult amongst other HNIs, a release said here.

The total amount raised by the startup so far stands at Rs 3.2 crore, according to the release.

Travel marketplace ixigo today said it has launched the 'ixigo skill' for Amazon Alexa in India which will help travellers in voice-assisted travel planning.

 

Travellers will now be able to take advantage of voice assisted travel planning and ask Alexa to track the status for a particular flight, search for flights within a specific budget and even search flights for the date of their choice, among much more, a release issued here said.

**************** Publicis forms leadership team to drive India, Sri Lanka biz *

French advertising firm Publicis Groupe today said it has formed a four-member leadership team to strengthen and accelerate the company's capabilities at a national level across India and Sri Lanka.

It has appointed Pankaj Vasani as the chief financial officer Publicis Groupe South Asia and Surbhi Gupta as the chief talent officer, according to a release.

Other member in the leadership team include Publicis Media India chief executive officer Anupriya Acharya and Publicis Communications South Asia chief executive officer Saurabh Varma.
